Leggere
- Look at who is writing the story.
- Look at the title and determine what you think the story will be about.
- Read the questions before you read the story.
- When you read underline the words you know.
- Look for cognates.
- Look at the pictures to help you identify what is going on.
- Say the word out loud to help you recognize it.
- Read it more than once.
- Use the word bank at the end of every chapter.
- Use a dictionay for words you don’t understand.

- If there are too many characters in the story keep a list of them. Write their names, who they are in the story, and a specific fact about them.
- Circle the verb in every sentence.
- Keep a list of new vocabulary words in the back of your notebook and review them every night.
